What does a SEM specialist do?

It’s been near to a year I am part of the Search Engine Marketing world and I’ve still had hardships explaining what my job is to my relatives. To make it simple, my job consists of three main areas:

  1. Search Engine Optimization: we provide clients with various types of recommendations to increase traffic to their site from organic rankings (in purple below)
  2. Pay-Per-Click Advertising: we design, manage and optimize online advertising campaigns to increase traffic to our clients’ sites from paid search results (in turquoise below)
  3. Web analytics: we analyze our clients’ website traffic and measure our online marketing efforts effectiveness

    Petite question pour alimenter cette présentation, en quoi tu différencie/associe le SEM du SEO ? je suis plus familier du second et vu ta description, je trouve que les responsabilités/objectifs sont proches… Ou pas ?

  2. Hi Charlotte, that has been a tricky question for me too.Here is one way I’ve learned to explain SEO. I use an analogy about Google being a librarian and the web being the library
